• If:

    • The purpose of your flight is limited to sport and leisure and not connected to any business activity


    You must:

    • Abide by the Regeling Modelvliegtuigen (HDJZ/LUV/2005-2297)
    • Follow national safety guidelines
    • Fly below an altitude of 120 meters
    • Remain at least 50 meters away from people and infrastructure
    • Maintain visual contact with your drone
    • Verify where you can and can not fly by using the “Dronekaart van het cadaster” 


    You must not:

    • Fly over people and/or at night
    • Fly near airports and/or sensitive areas
    • Fly in prohibited airspace
    • Broadcast aerial pictures without the consent of people in those pictures
  • If:

    • You operate your drone in a special area under the supervision of an aero club and/or an associations


    You must:

    • Abide by the Regeling Modelvliegtuigen (HDJZ/LUV/2005-2297)
    • Coordinate with the local Air Traffic Control center

  • If:

    • You operate your drone in connection with a business activity, for scientific purposes or for manufacturer testing.
    • A drone weighing more than 25kg is also considered a professional drone regardless of the activities you wish to perform.


    You must:

    • Be older than 18 years of age
    • Register nationally and have an drone identity plate
    • Request a permit to perform aerial work and have a pilot license
    • Request authorisation before flying over a populated area
    • Comply with additional requirements if you operate your drone beyond line of sight, including training obligations
    • Have special aviation certificates if your drone weighs more than 4 kg
    • Have Third Party Liability insurance with coverage of 1 million Euros
    • Follow national privacy guidelines published by the Dutch Data Protection authority 


    You must not:

    • Fly over populated area unless you have an authorisation and based on safety risk assessment
    • Fly above 120 meters above ground level (unless you are authorised to fly at an higher altitude)
