You are an operator of a recreational drone

  • If:

    • Not used for commercial purposes


    You must:

    • Abide by the ‘Lennuameti peadirektori (üldkorralduslik ettekirjutus nr 33)’ and the ‘Majandus-ja taristuministri määrus nr 24 (nr 923/2012)’
    • Be nationally registered
    • Respect the privacy of others

     

    You must not:

    • Interfere with manned aircraft
    • Fly in clouds or restricted areas

     

    We recommended having private insurance covering recreational drone activities.

You are an operator of a model aircraft

  • If:

    • Not used for commercial purposes

     

    You must:

    • Abide by the ‘Lennuameti peadirektori (üldkorralduslik ettekirjutus nr 33)’ and the ‘Majandus-ja taristuministri määrus nr 24 (nr 923/2012)’
    • Be nationally registered
    • Have liability coverage and  third-party insurance for a drone over 20 kg

     

    You must not:

    • Impede manned aircraft
    • Fly in clouds or restricted areas

You are an operator of a professional drone

  • If:

    • Used for commercial or scientific or manufacturer testing purposes

     

    You must:

    • Abide by the ‘Lennuameti peadirektori (üldkorralduslik ettekirjutus nr 33)’ and the ‘Majandus-ja taristuministri määrus nr 24 (nr 923/2012)’
    • Be nationally registered and hold a flight permit as well as an Aerial Work Certificate
    • Have Third Party Liability insurance with a coverage of EUR 1m

     

    You must not:

    • Interfere with manned aircraft
    • Fly in clouds or restricted areas
