You are an operator of a recreational drone

  • If:

    • Not used for commercial purposes
    • Not operated above industrial sites and urban areas


    You must:

    • Abide by the national regulation stated in the ‘Pravilnik o sustavima bespilotnih zrakoplova’


    You must not:

    • Operate in clouds, above crowds, industrial sites, urban areas and other restricted areas


    It is recommended to have private insurance covering recreational drone activities.

You are an operator of a model aircraft

  • If:

    • Not used for commercial purposes
    • Not operated above industrial sites and urban areas


    You must:

    • Abide by the national regulation stated in the ‘Pravilnik o sustavima bespilotnih zrakoplova’
    • Have an Identification number visible onthe fuselage as well as an Identity Plate
    • Have liability coverage up to 1 million Euros


    You must not:

    • Operate in clouds, above crowds, industrial sites, urban areas and other restricted areas

You are an operator of a professional drone

  • If:

    • Used for commercial, scientific or manufacturer testing purposes
    • Less than 150 kg in total mass


    You must:

    • Abide by the national regulation ‘Pravilnik o sustavima bespilotnih zrakoplova’
    • Have a parachute for rotary wing drones
    • Have an identification number visible on the Fuselage and a NOTAM posting
    • Have an aerial work certificate
    • Have Third Party Liability insurance with a coverage of 1 million Euros


    You must not:

    • Fly without Aerial Work Certificate or Permit
    • Fly in restricted areas or operate above 1000 ft
