Regulations: Austria (AT)

If:

• Your drone is not used for commercial purposes
  
• Your drone is not used for the purpose of camera or film recording

You must:

• Abide by the “Luftfahrtgesetz- LFG”
• Maintain visual contact with your drone
• Have a liability insurance
• Hold a flight permit from Austrian Aero Club if your drone weights more than 25 kg

We recommended having private insurance covering recreational drone activities.

You must not:

• Fly over 150 meters above ground level or further than 500 meters away
• Impede manned aircraft
• Fly in clouds or restricted areas
• Endanger any persons or things when operated

If:

• Your drone is used for commercial, scientific, or manufacturer testing purposes
  
• Your drone is used for the purpose of camera or film recording

You must:

• Abide by the “Luftfahrtgesetz- LFG”
• Be older than 16 years old
• Maintain visual contact with your drone if it is of Class 1
• Abide by manned civil aircraft regulations if your drone is of Class 2
• Abide by the EASA regulations if your drone mass exceeds 150 kg
• Have Third Party Liability insurance with a coverage of EUR 1m
• Have mandatory documents (flights manual, flight log and manual of procedure)
• Hold a flight permit from Austro Control GmbH

You must not:

• Fly over 150 meters above ground level
• Fly further than 500 meters away if your drone is of Class 1
• Impede manned aircraft
• Fly in clouds or restricted areas
• Endanger any persons or things when operated
